.DISCUSSION...
Above normal temperatures are expected to continue through the
remainder of the week, with highs ranging from the mid 90s to
lower triple digits each afternoon. Despite these hot temperatures,
increased moisture near the surface will aid in dewpoints above
normal for this time of year in the 50s and 60s. Which will help
keep minimum RH values just above the 20th percentile. Therefore,
fire weather concerns will remain on the lower end this week especially
as southerly wind speeds remain below 15 mph. Though, drying fuels
off the Caprock, with ERCs in the 75th to 89th percentile, with
localized spots around the 90th percentile, may experience
localized elevated spots of fire weather concerns.
