.KEY MESSAGES...
- Fire weather concerns remain low, owing to above normal fuel
moisture and relative humidity.
- Breezy winds will gust up to 50 mph this afternoon. A front is
actively moving west to east across the region this afternoon.
Winds ahead of the front are out of the southwest, but shift
sharply to west- northwesterly behind the front.
- A few storms are possible over the far eastern Rolling Plains
this afternoon. Elsewhere, scattered light rain showers are
possible this afternoon.

.DISCUSSION...
Breezy winds are gusting 40 to 50 mph this afternoon. As of
1250pm, a front extended from Briscoe County to Yoakum County,
moving east in time. Winds ahead of the front were out of the
southwest, but the winds will abruptly shift to west-
northwesterly following the frontal passage. A few storms are
possible as the front reaches the far eastern Rolling Plains mid-
afternoon. Behind the front, a few light rain showers are
possible. Fuel moisture remains above normal, and relative
humidity should stay above 30% this afternoon, so despite the
winds the fire weather concerns remain low.
Late this evening, another front will shift winds to north-
northwesterly into Tuesday. The winds remain breezy on Tuesday,
but not as strong as today with peak gusts of 30-35 mph. The rest
of the week looks mostly dry with seasonable temperatures.
