.DISCUSSION...
Breezy southerly winds will prevail the rest of today through
Saturday. Wind speeds will gradually weaken through the day
Saturday. There is a slight chance for isolated to maybe scattered
thunderstorms this evening for areas on the Caprock. We expect
gusty winds and possible dry lightning with these storms. All
thunderstorm activity should clear the region before midnight.
With much of the areas on the Caprock receiving measurable rain
last night, fire concerns remain low. However, northern areas off
the Caprock could see locally elevated fire conditions due to the
hot temperatures in the triple digits and somewhat dry fuels.
