Through 6 pm, scattered thunderstorms will continue to slowly
move east across portions of the South Plains and far southern
Texas Panhandle this evening. These storms will be able to
produce frequent cloud to ground lightning, small hail, localized
flooding, and wind gusts to 55 mph. Thunderstorms across the South
Plains have the potential to further intensify this evening so
stay alert for severe weather warnings later this evening.
