.NOW...
Through 10 pm...an outflow boundary will progress across the
southwest Texas Panhandle and far northwest South Plains. As the
gust front moves through the wind will abruptly shift to a
westerly direction, with gusts of 30 to 40 mph, and temperatures
will quickly drop about 10 degrees. In addition, scattered showers
and isolated thunderstorms will attempt to develop well behind
the outflow, though overall coverage is expected to decrease
through the late evening hours. Even so, spotty, generally light
rain will be possible, with trace amounts to several hundredths of
an inch possible for a select few locations. Several spots that
will experience the outflow include Friona, Lazbuddie, Muleshoe,
Needmore and Maple.
