...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN BAILEY COUNTY
THROUGH 615 PM CDT...

At 552 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7
miles southeast of Arch, or 20 miles southeast of Portales, moving
southeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of southwestern Bailey
County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
