.DISCUSSION...
Drying out and remaining cold as high pressure builds overhead
through tonight. A cold front will cross the area Sunday with an
upper level low pressure system passing to the south late Sunday
night into Monday. Both of these systems could bring some light
snow showers to the mountains and a wintry mix to extreme southern
portions of the forecast region. Brief high pressure builds again
Tuesday before another area of low pressure and series of fronts
cross the area late next week.
Precipitation amounts over the next 5 days will remain less than a
quarter of an inch across the area. Locations north and east of I-66
and US-50 may see no precipitation during this period.
