.DISCUSSION...
Little change in the weather pattern ahead with continued
summertime heat and humidity across Anne Arundel County. While
chances for afternoon/evening thunderstorms today drop some,
expect an increase in storm coverage on Wednesday. Although the
severe weather risk is on the lower side, some very heavy
downpours are possible with any storm that becomes stronger in
nature. Tropical moisture remains in place which will be conducive
to these locally higher rainfall rates, possibly 1 to 2 inches per
hour. While storms will likely be scattered to numerous in
nature, not everyone will be impacted by these storms. For those
that do see such storms, a flash flood risk will accompany some of
these.

In terms of the temperature and wind forecast, highs are expected
to reach the mid 80s. Given continued high dew points, heat
indices could near 95 degrees during the afternoon. Additionally,
southerly winds increase through the day with gusts up to 15 to
perhaps 20 mph, locally higher in thunderstorms.
