.DISCUSSION...

As winds shift to west-southwesterly, a warm up ensues today which
brings temperatures to near average for mid-November. Winds remain
elevated today with gusts to around 25 to 35 mph, with high
elevation winds into the 40 to 50 mph range.

A dry clipper-like system races across the area today before
exiting offshore tonight. This leads to additional breezy winds
into Thursday. High pressure returns by Friday into the first half
of the weekend. A frontal system approaches the area by Sunday
which may bring a few chances for rain. However, the opportunity
for wetting rains looks low at this time.

Daytime relative humidities will largely range from 25 to 35
percent through Friday. The dry gusty winds should lead to further
drying of area fuels. Given ongoing drought conditions, some
uptick in fire weather concerns loom ahead. For the overnight
hours, recoveries improve relative to previous days.
