...WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 AM EST THIS MORNING...

.DISCUSSION...
The overall pattern ahead favors additional gusty westerly winds
over the next 24 to 48 hours. As a surge of stronger winds aloft
move through, gusts this morning may reach 45 to 50 mph. Wind
Advisories are in effect for much of the Allegheny Front given
such gust potential. However, do expect winds to stay relatively
constant in direction being out of the west. The strongest gusts
will be through the late morning before dropping to 30 to 40 mph
for the afternoon to evening hours. Today`s high temperatures rise
to around 40 degrees which is much warmer than recent days.

A quick moving frontal system tracks through this evening, but
this will be a dry feature. Winds in the wake turn more
northwesterly into the overnight hours with gusts to around 40 to
45 mph at times. Coupled with low temperatures in the upper 20s,
wind chills will drop into the teens at night.

Breezy winds continue behind this system into Thursday while
shifting to westerly again. Gusts will not be quite as high but
still could rise into the 30 to 35 mph range. Temperatures stay
fairly similar to today.

Looking ahead, winds diminish some by Friday as high pressure
moves into the area. The next chance of rain comes not come until
later in the weekend. At this point, any wetting rains would have
to wait until sometime next week.
