This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the Maryland portion of the
Chesapeake Bay, Tidal Potomac River, and I-95 corridor through
central Maryland, northern Virginia, and District of Columbia.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

A Flood Watch is in effect for the Washington Metropolitan areas
into the Virginia Piedmont as well as portions of southern
Maryland. Heavy rain in short periods of time may cause rapid
rises to creeks and streams out of their banks along with the
potential for flash flooding in urban areas. Elsewhere, isolated
instances of flash flooding are possible through this evening.

A Code Red Air Quality Alert is in effect for northeast Maryland
through midnight tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday

Showers and thunderstorms with heavy downpours are possible
Sunday, with the potential for isolated instances of flooding and
localized damaging wind gusts.
