Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service Baltimore MD/Washington DC
1057 AM EST Tue Dec 9 2025

Here is a look at the weather features that will affect the region
over the next several days.

Canadian high pressure will drift offshore tonight. Cold weather
will continue during this time. A quick moving clipper system
will pass through the Great Lakes Wednesday, with the highest
chance of precipitation in the Allegheny Mountains. A secondary
cold front will follow suit on Thursday bringing a reinforcing
shot of cold air to the region.

Yet another fast moving frontal system may reach the area by late
Friday leading to another cold weekend ahead. The mid to late
week period also brings numerous chances for Allegheny Mountain
snow showers, with some chance of snow spilling east of the
mountains by Friday afternoon.

Another wave of low pressure may impact the area with wintry
precipitation chances Saturday night into Sunday.
