Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service Baltimore MD/Washington DC
202 AM EDT Fri Aug 21 2026

Here is a look at the weather features that will affect the region
over the next several days.

A cold front south of the area today. This frontal system is
expected to stall near or just southeast of the Mid- Atlantic, and
additional ripples of low pressure riding along it may result in
periodic showers and a few thunderstorms at times through the
upcoming weekend. High pressure tracks in from the Tennessee and
Ohio Valleys early next week which leads to a cool down with less
humidity.
