Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service Baltimore MD/Washington DC
724 AM EDT Wed Sep 16 2026

Here is a look at the weather features that will affect the region
over the next several days.

Canadian high pressure will slowly exit toward the Atlantic coast
through tonight. At the same time, a cold front is expected to
approach from the Great Lakes before crossing the region early
Friday. A gradual warm up ensues during the middle to latter
portions of the week, with storm chances returning by Thursday.
High pressure crosses the northeastern U.S. on Saturday before a
frontal system remains nearby on Sunday into early next week. This
brings increasing shower chances across the area.
