Scattered snow showers are anticipated along and west of the Allegheny Front between 5 AM and 2 PM Thursday. This may affect commuters Thursday morning along the Interstate 68, Highway 219, 50, 48, and 33 corridors in western Maryland and eastern West Virginia, and perhaps the Highway 250 corridor crossing from Virginia into West Virginia. Although snow may be relatively light with amounts of a coating to an inch, very cold temperatures will allow the snow to stick to all untreated surfaces. Localized amounts of up to two inches are possible along the western-facing slopes above 2500 feet in western Garrett County. Motorists should prepare for slick road conditions Thursday morning. Allow extra travel time. $$ DHOF
