The National Weather Service in Sterling Virginia has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Southern Frederick County in north central Maryland...

* Until 330 PM EDT.

* At 300 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Point Of
  Rocks, or near Harry Grove Stadium, moving northeast at 30 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Damaging winds will cause some trees and large branches
           to fall. This could injure those outdoors, as well as
           damage homes and vehicles. Roadways may become blocked by
           downed trees. Localized power outages are possible.
           Unsecured light objects may become projectiles.

* Locations impacted include...
  Frederick, Harry Grove Stadium, Ballenger Creek, Mount Airy, New
  Market, Green Valley, Point Of Rocks, Linganore-Bartonsville,
  Adamstown, Buckeystown, Libertytown, Monrovia, Ijamsville, Mount
  Pleasant, Doubs, Park Mills, and Tuscarora.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will send your report to the National Weather Service
office in Sterling Virginia.
