Latest observations indicate scattered convection across
mainly central sections of the forecast area.
Very unstable conditions were noted along the interstate 40
corridor, with 3000 j/kg MLCAPE noted. Focus for convective
development is rather diffuse; expect this activity to continue
through the peak diurnal insolation cycle.

A cold front will approach from the northwest on Wednesday. This
feature will provide a more focused convective event, to affect
the forecast area from northwest to southeast, from the afternoon
hours through late Wednesday night. Severe thunderstorms

The upper level flow over North America will amplify during this
period. By the end of this period, an axis of upper level high
pressure will stretch from the central Texas to New England. Dry
conditions with above normal temperatures will prevail during this
forecast period.

VFR conds are expected overnight with SHRA/TSRA arriving across
Nrn terminals between 08/10z Wed, spreading SE to include Cntrl
sites near 11/12z Wed. VFR conds are anticipated outside of TSRA
activity where VIS`bys may be reduced to MVFR/IFR briefly.
Afternoon scattered SHRA/TSRA are possible across Cntrl and Nrn
TAF sites. Winds will be S/SW at around 10 kts or less both
overnight and on Wed.
