Issued at 1214 AM CDT Sat Aug 30 2025 - High temperatures through the early part of next weekend will be around 5 to 7 degrees below normal for this time of the year. - Northwest flow will persist through early next weekend. A cold front on Monday into Tuesday and another is expect around the Thursday into Friday time frame. - Best rain chances will be Monday into Tuesday, then mainly dry conditions will prevail with only an isolated shower or thunderstorm possible during the latter part of the upcoming work week. && .DISCUSSION... Issued at 1214 AM CDT Sat Aug 30 2025 Satellite this morning shows some low and mid level cloudiness mainly parts of the state early this morning. Winds are calm to light and variable across the state early this morning. Little in the way of changing made to the current forecast. Northwest flow will continue across the state through at least the early part of next weekend. The best chances for rainfall will be Monday night into Tuesday as a cold front dive southeast out of the central Plains bringing chances for scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms for the northern one half of the state with isolated showers and thunderstorms in the forecast for the southern half. For Wednesday through Saturday, dry conditions are in the forecast before another cold front dives southeast Thursday into Friday within the northwest flow. The cold front will bring chances for an isolated shower or thunderstorm and another reinforcing shot of cooler air to the state into next weekend. High temperatures through Sunday will be just a couple of degrees below normal, then average around 5 to 7 degrees below normal with a couple of cold fronts pushing through the state. && .AVIATION...
