Fire Weather Planning Forecast For A Large Part Of Arkansas
National Weather Service LITTLE ROCK AR
138 PM CDT Fri Aug 21 2026

.Discussion...

Hot and dry weather will continue as the area remains under the
influence of upper level high pressure. The center of the upper
high has shifted to the west just enough to allow some upper level
impulses to move through. These impulses will produce some
scattered precipitation but have little overall impact on the
drought conditions. Fire danger will remain high with the overall
dry conditions in place.
