.Discussion...
A strong line of storms will move through the state today with
almost all areas seeing thunderstorms in the afternoon. Expect
1-2" of rain over most areas, but the far NW may see 2-4" of rain.
Winds will increase ahead of the front with gusts near 20mph, but
may increase to 25-30mph as the cold front pushes through with a
sharp wind shift. Winds will remain higher out of the west with
15-20mph gusts possible into the evening. Cooler drier air will
move into the area Sunday and Monday, which may be the lowest RH
Arkansas has seen in a while. Fuels will likely continue to dry
out with lower dewpoints expected throughout the week with little
to no rain expected until next Friday.
