.Discussion...
Above normal temperatures will persist across the state through
Thursday. Winds will be light for a majority of the period, except
for Wednesday afternoon with south winds of 15 to 20 mph with
locally higher gusts. Expect moisture and RH values to steady
increase as a storm system in the central/southern plains
approaches the state by Thursday. Expect shower and thunderstorm
activity over northwest and far western Arkansas on Thursday
afternoon. Chances for showers and thunderstorms will continue
through the weekend, but appreciable amounts are most likely
across northwest and western Arkansas with lighter amounts
elsewhere. Much cooler and drier air will follow the front early
next week across the state.
