The National Weather Service in Midland has issued a

* Dust Storm Warning for...
  Southeastern Martin County in western Texas...
  Southwestern Howard County in western Texas...

* Until 730 PM CDT.

* At 648 PM CDT, a dust channel was near Stanton, or 7 miles north of
  Greenwood, moving east at 20 mph.

  HAZARD...Less than a quarter mile visibility with strong wind in
           excess of 50 mph.

  SOURCE...Trained weather spotters.

  IMPACT...Dangerous life-threatening travel.

* This includes Interstate 20 between mile markers 151 and 172.

Locations impacted include...
Stanton, Lomax, Courtney, and Stanton Municipal Aiport.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not drive into a dust storm. PULL ASIDE STAY ALIVE!

There is no safe place on a highway when a dust storm hits.
Visibility can be lost immediately, making it difficult or impossible
to slow down and avoid stopped vehicles. Delay travel, or safely exit
the highway before the dust storm arrives.

Strong to severe thunderstorms are also possible behind this dust
channel. Keep updated with this quickly evolving situation.
