...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 130 AM CDT FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Dawson County in western Texas...
  Gaines County in western Texas...

* WHEN...Until 130 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Low-water
  crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1118 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly
    in the warned area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the
    warned area.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Lamesa, Seminole, Seagraves, Welch, Seagraves Airport, Gaines
    County Airport, Lamesa Municipal Airport, Los Ybanez, McKenzie
    Lake, Loop, Punkin Center, Patricia, Gaines County Park,
    Klondike, Arvana, Tenmile, Hancock, Paynes Corner, Sparenberg and
    Key.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
