Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
1257 PM CST Tue Nov 11 2025

.DISCUSSION...

...ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS CONTINUE FOR THE NORTHERN
SACRAMENTO FOOTHILLS IN CHAVES COUNTY, NEW MEXICO THROUGH THIS
AFTERNOON...

Warmer than average temperatures, gusty southwest winds, fuel
ERCs in the 50th-74th percentile, and min RH near to below
critical 15% will continue to lead to elevated fire weather
conditions today. Lighter winds constrain fire risk for the rest
of the week despite warmer than average temperatures and a warming
trend into late week.

For point-specific forecasts please see the Point Fire Weather
Matrix product issued by the Midland/Odessa National Weather
Service Office.
