Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
1246 PM CST Sat Dec 6 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Fire weather concerns are minimal through the period. Winds remain
gusty until early this evening, particularly in the Guadalupe/
Delaware Mountains. However, these winds do not overlap critical
minRHs. Otherwise, ERCs remain near or below the 50th percentile
and overnight recoveries are generally good through the period,
which will help limit fire weather conditions.

For point-specific forecasts please see the Point Fire Weather
Matrix product issued by the Midland/Odessa National Weather
Service Office.
