Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico...RESENT
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
1257 PM CDT Thu Aug 28 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Fire weather concerns remain low. Above normal temperatures and
above critical relative humidity continue through the end of this
week. Overnight recovery remains fair to good. ERCs are between
the 50th to 75th percentile for much of the area. A cold front
brings below normal temperatures and widespread rainfall to the
region. Beneficial rainfall and increased moisture will improve
fuel conditions.
