Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
238 AM CST Thu Nov 27 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Fire weather concerns remain minimal through next week. Minimum
relative humidity values will generally remain above critical
thresholds along with low ERCs. Although 20-ft winds become breezy
out of the south Friday afternoon, the above conditions will mitigate
fire weather concerns. A strong cold front Saturday evening into
Sunday brings much cooler conditions through the beginning of next
week.

For point-specific forecasts please see the Point Fire Weather
Matrix product issued by the Midland/Odessa National Weather
Service Office.
