848 FNUS54 KMAF 081745 FWFMAF Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX 1245 PM CDT Wed Oct 8 2025 .DISCUSSION... Min RH above critical 15%, good to excellent overnight recovery, cooler overnight temperatures, and fuel ERCs largely below 75th percentile maintain low fire weather conditions. Gusty southeasterly upslope winds Wednesday into Thursday and again late this week into this weekend coupled with lack of substantial rainfall and drier fuels may result in a risk for ignitions in drier fuels. However, increased clouds and rain chances will again lead to low fire weather conditions by next week. && For point-specific forecasts please see the Point Fire Weather Matrix product issued by the Midland/Odessa National Weather Service Office.
