Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
120 PM CST Sat Nov 29 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Fire weather concerns are minimal. A strong front arrives late today
bringing well below normal temperatures Sunday with a hard freeze
expected for many locations. We warm by midweek with another front
late in the week. The forecast remains dry until late week when a
low chance (10-30%) of rain enters the picture. ERCs remain below
the 50th percentile, min RHs remain above critical thresholds, and
RH recovery overnight will be good to excellent through the period.

For point-specific forecasts please see the Point Fire Weather
Matrix product issued by the Midland/Odessa National Weather
Service Office.
