Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
117 PM CDT Wed Aug 27 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Above normal temperatures and ERCs around the 75th percentile
remain through Friday. However, min RHs remain above critical
levels with fair to good recoveries each night. Winds continue to
remain light outside of any convection. Chances for rain increase
significantly beginning this weekend and carry into early next
week. Wetting rain will improve fuel conditions. Overall, fire
weather concerns remain low.
