Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
311 AM CDT Mon Oct 12 2026

.DISCUSSION...

Fire weather concerns remain low through the next several days.
Above normal temperatures will continue through tomorrow. Rain
chances increase over the higher terrain this afternoon, then
spread across much of the region starting Tuesday. Wetting
rains will improve any areas of dry fuels. Temperatures move
closer to normal by the middle of the week with much cooler
temperatures to end the week behind a cold front.
