Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
345 AM CDT Thu Jun 20 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Relative humidity and chances of wetting rains, mainly west of the
Pecos, will increase today as a tropical disturbance passes
through Mexico. After Friday, rain chances will be confined
mainly to the Davis Mountains and Sacramento Foothills, where
wildfires will be possible from lightning. Otherwise, relative
humidity will bottom out at 43-90% this afternoon, and 30-73%
Friday. Recovery overnight will be moderate to excellent.
