Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
211 AM CST Wed Jan 15 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Friday is the only day this week that will have an increased fire
spread potential. Very windy conditions and above normal
temperatures are the cause of the enhanced fire danger. Offsetting
this is decent fuel moisture levels and relative humidities
holding in the upper teens to 20s. Critical fire conditions are
not expected but this will be closely watched. A cold front
Saturday brings in much colder temperatures and increased
moisture.
