Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
130 AM CST Tue Dec 9 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Fire weather concerns generally remain minimal into next week.
Elevated fire weather conditions will be possible at times,
especially Tuesday through Thursday, due to increased 20-ft winds
coincident with increased ERCs (between the 50th and 75th
percentiles). MinRHs will be at or below critical thresholds Tuesday
across much of the area. MindRHs hover near critical thresholds
Wednesday and Thursday, particularly across the Presidio Valley and
Big Bend regions.

For point-specific forecasts please see the Point Fire Weather
Matrix product issued by the Midland/Odessa National Weather
Service Office.
