Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
224 AM CDT Sun Jun 22 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Fire weather concerns are low through the period, outside of
thunderstorms and despite gusty winds over the next couple of
days. ERCs below the 75th percentile, min RHs above critical
thresholds, and seasonable temperatures are forecast through next
week, which will help mitigate fire concerns. However, lightning
associated with expected thunderstorms west of the Pecos River may
lead to a couple of sparks. Gusty/erratic winds can also be
expected with any of these thunderstorms.
