Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
134 PM CST Sun Nov 9 2025

.DISCUSSION...

In general, fire weather concerns are low. Cooler temperatures
behind the front linger through Monday. By Tuesday, min RHs once
again drop below 15%, especially west of the Pecos. ERCs remain in
the 50-74th percentile for much of the region, but fire weather is
generally capped at low-end Elevated conditions due to winds staying
below critical thresholds or not overlapping critical min RHs, with
potential exceptions in the Guadalupe and Sacramento Mountains
(where gustier winds could yield locally higher-end Elevated
conditions).

For point-specific forecasts please see the Point Fire Weather
Matrix product issued by the Midland/Odessa National Weather
Service Office.
