Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
157 PM CDT Sat Jun 14 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Hot temperatures can be expected into the middle part of the
upcoming week. A few showers and thunderstorms will remain
possible today and Sunday, mainly across the mountains and into
the Big Bend region. Fire weather concerns will continue to remain
low through the next several days as ERCs stay below the 50th
percentile across much of the region. Minimum RH values will fall
into the teens west of the Pecos River Valley over the next few
days, but overnight recoveries will be fair to good with 20 foot
winds remaining on the lighter side.
