321 FNUS54 KMAF 161913 FWFMAF Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX 213 PM CDT Mon Jun 16 2025 .DISCUSSION... Fire weather concerns remain low as ERCs stay near or below the 50th percentile. Fuels in the region are near to above normal in moisture. A few storms may develop over the mountains and adjacent plains this afternoon and again tomorrow, leading to a potential for lightning starts or outflows across western areas of the CWA causing gusty and erratic winds. Very hot temperatures are expected through Wednesday. Critical min RHs hold on for areas west of the Pecos River Valley, but recoveries remain fair to good. && For point-specific forecasts please see the Point Fire Weather Matrix product issued by the Midland/Odessa National Weather Service Office.
