Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
137 PM CDT Thu Oct 1 2026

.DISCUSSION...

Fire weather concerns stay low through the period. MinRHs stay well
above 15% with good to excellent recovery through the next several
days. Winds will be breezy for portions of the area today and again
Friday behind a front, but otherwise stay light through the period.
Fuels hover near to below the 50th percentile, and recent wetting
rain across most of the area will help further limit fire weather
conditions.

Service Office.
