...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN EDDY COUNTY THROUGH
200 PM MDT...

At 108 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8
miles northwest of Carlsbad Caverns National Park, or 23 miles north
of Pine Springs. This thunderstorm was nearly stationary.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Carlsbad Caverns National Park, Lincoln National Forest, and Queen.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
