...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN LEA COUNTY THROUGH
600 PM MDT...

At 528 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from near Monument to 13 miles
west of Jal. Movement was east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Eunice, Jal, Monument, Jal Airport, Eunice Airport, Bennett, and Oil
Center.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM MDT for
