SOUTHEASTERN WINKLER...MARTIN...NORTHERN CRANE...DAWSON AND
NORTHWESTERN UPTON COUNTIES THROUGH 100 AM CDT...

At 1214 AM CDT, observations showed strong thunderstorms along a
line extending from Welch to near Midland International Air and
Space Port to 7 miles east of Monahans.
Movement was east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Weather observations.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Midland, Odessa, Andrews, Lamesa, Monahans, Seminole, Kermit,
Seagraves, Wink, Greenwood, Stanton, Goldsmith, Seagraves Airport,
Lenorah, Midland International Air and Space Port, Welch, West
Odessa, Lamesa Municipal Airport, Gaines County Airport, and Los
Ybanez.

This includes Interstate 20 between mile markers 82 and 162.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
