.DISCUSSION...
(Tonight through next Saturday)
Issued at 1130 PM CDT Sat Oct 11 2025

A highly amplified but narrow ridge oriented from Lake Superior
into South Texas will slowly shift east and broaden over the next
several days. By midweek it will be oriented more longitudinal,
just west of the Mississippi River. As a result, temperatures
will trend slightly warmer through midweek and conditions will
remain dry. High temperatures should reach the low to middle 80s
by Wednesday, then trend cooler after midweek as the ridge
flattens out. Guidance is not in great agreement after midweek,
but there is not any indication of any significant rainfall or
cooler temperatures before next weekend.
