...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN LAFAYETTE...NORTH
CENTRAL CALHOUN...SOUTHWESTERN UNION AND WESTERN PONTOTOC COUNTIES
THROUGH 200 PM CDT...

At 122 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Tula, or 17 miles west of Pontotoc, moving northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Pontotoc, Ecru, Tula, Pinedale, Randolph, Etta, Thaxton, Toccopola,
Robbs, Hortontown, Esperanza, Cherry Creek, Bald Hill, Delay,
Buchannan, Matthews, Springville, Lafayette Springs, and Sarepta.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
