...Possible Heavy Rainfall This Weekend...

A well-defined tropical wave near Hispaniola is forecast to move
over the Straits of Florida tonight or Saturday and then into the
eastern Gulf late Saturday or early Sunday. Regardless of
development, periods of heavy rain is expected across South
Florida this weekend. Forecast rainfall totals from Saturday
morning through late Sunday night are 2-5 inches with locally
higher amounts possible. This may result in flooding in urban and
poor drainage locations.

There is still plenty of uncertainty regarding the forecast over
the next several days. A Flood Watch may be issued if confidence
increases. Interests in South Florida should stay tuned to the
latest forecasts.
