...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM EDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast Florida, including the following
  county, Miami-Dade.

* WHEN...Until 1000 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 937 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated another round of heavy
    rain due to thunderstorms moving into the flood Advisory area
    from the south. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to
    begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of
    rain have fallen over this area from the earlier
    thunderstorms.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
    over the area is expected with the new round of
    thunderstorms. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding. If the rainfall amounts increase more than
    forecast, then a Flash Flood Warning maybe needed for this
    area.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Miami, Hialeah, Coral Gables, South Miami, Kendall, Doral,
    Hialeah Gardens, Pinecrest, Miami Springs, Sweetwater, West
    Miami, Medley, Coral Terrace, Miami International Airport,
    Westchester, Fountainbleau, University Of Miami, Glenvar
    Heights, Olympia Heights and Coconut Grove.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
