...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1045 AM EDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast Florida, including the following
  county, Miami-Dade.

* WHEN...Until 1045 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1021 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain has ended
    over the Flood Advisory.
    Rainfall amounts up to 1 inch has fallen from the
    thunderstorms on the western side of the advisory area and up
    to 3 inches on the eastern side of the advisory area. This
    amount of water will take sometime to drain away. Therefore,
    the Flood Advisory will remain in effect until 1045 AM EDT
    this morning.
  - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
    expected.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Miami, Coral Gables, South Miami, Kendall, Doral, Sweetwater,
    West Miami, University Park, Fountainbleau, Westchester,
    Tamiami, Olympia Heights, Sunset, Coral Terrace, Kendale
    Lakes, Glenvar Heights, Miami International Airport,
    University Of Miami, The Crossings and Tamiami Fairgrounds.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
