Fire Weather Forecast for southern Oregon and northern California
National Weather Service Medford, OR
411 AM PDT Wed Sep 16 2026
...Isolated to scattered thunderstorms today and Thursday, except
at the coast and lower Umpqua Basin...
.DISCUSSION...Low pressure will bring showers and thunderstorms
today and Thursday. Main risks will be lightning, gusty outflow
winds and the potential for new fire starts, though wetting rain
should mitigate this somewhat. Starts are most likely in drier
fuels of NorCal, especially northern and western Siskiyou County.
Showers could linger into Friday over the far east side, but
expect drier, warmer weather heading into this weekend.
