Fire Weather Forecast for southern Oregon and northern California
National Weather Service Medford, OR
204 PM PDT Sun Jun 23 2024

...RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO 8 PM PDT
THIS EVENING FOR STRONG GUSTY WIND AND LOW RH FOR FIRE WEATHER
ZONE 285...

.DISCUSSION...A combination of low RH and gusty winds will
produce critical fire weather conditions for at least a few hours
this afternoon, primarily in Modoc County, but also possibly for
eastside areas in Oregon. Fuels are tricky this time of year, and
this may be the limiting factor regarding fire weather conditions
today and tomorrow. High pressure with warming and drying will
return Monday into Tuesday, but another dry front is likely by
midweek with strong, gusty winds possible.
