Fire Weather Forecast for southern Oregon and northern California
National Weather Service Medford, OR
138 PM PDT Mon Aug 17 2026

.DISCUSSION...Mostly dry conditions are expected through mid week
with typical summer afternoon breezes/humidity, temperatures near
to slightly above normal, and nightly coastal marine stratus.
Expect mostly moderate recoveries this week over the ridges, with
poor recoveries across the Warners. There`s a low chance of
thunderstorms (10-15% chance) this afternoon near/north of Crater
Lake, then thunder chances drop to 0-5% Tue-Thu. An offshore
trough will impact the region Thu-Sat, bringing gusty south to
southwest winds and some lightning potential Thursday night
through Friday.
