.DISCUSSION...Hot temperatures are expected today and Wednesday. An
upper level disturbance will move south to north across the area
late today and tonight, producing isolated to scattered afternoon
and evening thunderstorms, mainly from the Cascades east and
Siskiyous south. A few isolated storms could move into Josephine,
Jackson, and eastern/northern Douglas counties in the evening, and
there is a low chance that storms may drift into western Douglas and
eastern Coos counties this evening. Lingering isolated thunderstorms
are possible overnight. Then, Wednesday through late in the week,
thunderstorm chances continue in the afternoons/evenings, again from
the Cascades east. Showers and more seasonable temperatures are
expected this weekend.
